Played a show in South Carolina.
-Sunday morning... got two hours of sleep... drove two hours to the airport and flew home to Houston.
-Sunday morning... drove straight from the airport to church service.
-Monday & Tuesday... lead worship at morning and nigh services.
-Wednesday.. played a show in Deer Park.
-Thursday... got up and moved everything upstairs so it wouldn't get flooded. Then we all drove 8 hours to Dallas in a six car caravan.
-Friday... woke up a 3:45Am and went to the airport in Dallas. Flew to Boise, ID and lead played that night.
-Saturday... played another show in Boise.
-Sunday... lead worship at both morning services and then ran straight to the airport...

And God was right smack dab in the middle of all it. This week has been such a blessing. God has spoken to me so much about His presence, destiny, worship, and just HImself in general.

Praise God for being there during the craziness!

-jack

The Wizarding world of Universal

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_RBQVfD7kXms/SMNRwZ75X5I/AAAAAAAAARY/VJnUKMOyX1w/s320/IMG_0002.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5243124283227070354" />

Today we played at Rock the Universe in Orlando. One of my favorite things about these kind of shows is that we usually get an escort to take us around the park. We totally get spoiled because we get to go through the exit and pass up the lines. We feel kind of bad... but... we have fun any ways. Spiderman might have been my favorite; it's a 4-D immerive experience that cost the park $200 Million to build. Also, I hounded our guide with questions about the new Harry Potter park that's coming in 2010. Ok... it's going to be amazing! She said there's going to be new patented technology that's never been used before in theme parks! And JK Rowling herself is helping oversee the creative process. They've only leveled the ground and started building the first attraction (she couldn't tell us what it was... it's all very secretive you see). And it's going to be huge as well... just as big as Universal Studios itself. Wish I had more info... but really it was just a big tease. All Harry Potter fans can appreciate my anticipation. I'm going to be there opening day!

Cheers.

-jack

at the airport...

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_RBQVfD7kXms/SLfm3xK-UxI/AAAAAAAAARA/2bZ5_LF9938/s200/IMG_0158.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5239910537235419922" />
it's become our new home...

Reading for three reasons

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_RBQVfD7kXms/SLcKf4XYRaI/AAAAAAAAAQ4/JmZZ1LVbGB0/s200/augustine1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5239668234291529122" />
You know how we can read books just for the sake of reading them? So we can try to impress others with how smart we are? I've fallen prey to that way too many times and I really can't stand to see it in myself or others. I have three primary reasons for reading 1) Drawing closer to God. 2) Gaining More knowledge of the world around me. 3) To have fun. And impressing people will never be one of them. Because I happen to read things all the time that are altogether unimpressive.

With that said... "The Confessions" certainly falls into the first two categories and at times wanders into the third. I never imagined a book this ancient could be so current. His honesty is comforting and challenging at the same time. It reminds us that sin is very real, and God's grace has always been, and always will be, the means to destroy it.

Here's a couple excerpts of St. Augustine pouring his heart out to God.

"Do not hide your face from Me; let me die so that I may see it, for not to see it would be death to me indeed."

"God, You are most high, excellent, most powerful, omnipotent, supremely merciful and supremely just, most hidden yet intimately present, infinitely beautiful and infinitely strong, steadfast yet elusive, unchanging yourself though you control the change in all things, never new, never old, renewing all things yet wearing down the proud though they know it not, ever active, ever at rest, gathering while knowing no need, supporting and filling and gaurding, creating an nurturing and perfecting, seeking although you lack nothing. You love without frenzy, you are jealous yet secure, you regret without sadness, you grow angry yet remain tranquil, you alter your works but never your plan, you take back what you find although you never lost it; you are never in need yet you rejoice in your gains, never avariocious yet you demand profits. And "With Everything" was off the charts... God was off the charts. He totally overwhelmed me tonight with His love and His goodness. I love those moments when God sweeps you off your feet and just surprises you once again with how great his love is. This is worship people!

Any of you guys had an awesome worship experience lately? If so... tell us about it. It was so good and I'm going to read the second book soon. Any ways... this is my next book. And I'm totally going to finish it this time! Now I'm accountable to the few people that read this blog and I have to finish it. It's an amazing book, but certainly not an "easy" read for me. I think this is going to be my new book rotation; an easy kids' book/fun fiction and then a more difficult book. We'll see how it works.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_RBQVfD7kXms/SK7zpdomVmI/AAAAAAAAAQw/w4siU4kneMg/s320/Saint+Augustine.+A601003.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5237391310333564514" />

In God We Trust

Africa blog #1

So... we finally made it to Malawi. After 36 hours of travel we're here! We've only been here for a few hours and God has already started something in our hearts. Their thankfulness and praise ushers in the presence of God in such a powerful way.

We sang "Save Your People" tonight and they went crazy! Scripture memorization has never come very easy for me, but Whit brought up the challenge and it's going pretty well. Any ways, I was reading through and I got to the fifteenth verse:

"And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful."

The second I read that scripture I just started to meditate on peace. What a beautiful thing to think upon... the peace of God reigning in our hearts. But then I started to hear gun fire, bombs, and crashing debris. I visualized the most bloody, violent, and vehement battle scene one could imagine. And I felt God whisper to me... "This is your heart."

We're so hard on ourselves. We make Satan's job so easy. He probably just sits back and watches us wage war against ourselves. We hurl accusations at ourselves and inflict injury and punishment all within the confines of our heart. And we usually don't sop there but start firing at others. Pretty soon we're in a state of lovelessness. Not loving ourselves near as much as God loves us, and not loving others near as much as we love ourselves.

The cross, the grave, and the resurrection was the ultimate peace treaty. God crushed violence, accusation, and sin; freeing us to be at peace with Him and ourselves. We have to understand that we are loved beyond our understanding. The perfect love of Jesus, and that alone, will bring peace to our hearts.

The Power Stance

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_RBQVfD7kXms/SJUoAHH1TBI/AAAAAAAAAP4/fEkvIp_rjwA/s400/IMG_1403.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5230130524637711378" />
Please click on this picture and see the enlarged version...

The New Me

2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. I think that's the epic struggle in the daily walk of most followers of Jesus. I think I'm just now realizing that I'm a new person. When I received Jesus I was molded and changed by the Spirit. When I say new; I mean that I was made new in all the ways I needed to be. Now I can just be myself; because "myself" now has the nature, the likeness, and power of God. I don't have to generate any more righteousness... He's my righteousness. I don't have to be impressive... because God's already impressed with Jesus, and Jesus is in me. Lord, help me to live this today. Help me to live like the new me... the real me.

George MacDonald - "Unspoken Sermons"

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_RBQVfD7kXms/SJIdwetpMHI/AAAAAAAAAOc/72cW5ljRk8c/s200/gmd_1862.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5229274836046000242" />
"Love is one, and love is changeless. For love loves unto purity. Love has ever in view the absolute loveliness of that which it beholds. Where loveliness is incomplete, and love cannot love its fill of loving, it spends itself to make more lovely, that it may love more; it strives for perfection, even that itself may be perfected - not in itself, but in the object. As it was love that first created humanity, so even human love, in proportion to its divinity, will go on creating the beautiful for its own outpouring. There is nothing eternal but that which loves and can be loved, and love is ever climbing towards the consummation when such shall be the universe, imperishable, divine.

Therefore all that is not beautiful in the beloved, all that comes between and is not of love's kind, must be destroyed. And our God is a consuming fire."

_________________________________________
George MacDonald (1824-1905) - Scottish Congregationalist pastor, novelist, myth maker, and poet, MacDonald had a profound influence on C.S. Lewis. I just love children's books. They have the most surprising and practical insights for everyday life. Whitney and I have vowed to never grow up and always read these books even when we're "old".

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_RBQVfD7kXms/SIpsUe35KcI/AAAAAAAAAKQ/ipDyZASziOM/s200/9780883683484.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5227109416657562050" />
An amazing little book that has been so encouraging to me this week. I've had it on the bookshelf for years, and I'm just now diving into it. It's reminding me who I am in Christ.
__________________________________________

In other news, the doctors say I have Bell's Palsy. You basically lose muscle control on one side of your face. It's kind of funny... and not funny at the same time. I'm blessed because I only have a mild form of it (no facial drooping or anything), but my smile is pretty funky. haha... sorry, no pictures.

Any ways, I'm on a strict health plan with lots of vitamins and such. I'm getting way more sleep than I'm used to getting, and I'm spending a whole lot of time in the presence of God. It's been so refreshing to sit back and rest in God. What a concept! I'm learning that I don't have to control everything in my life... including the left side of my face. :-) I don't have to be impressive, powerful, or exceptional... I'm going to let God be all of those things. I'm just going to do what i was created to do... fall in love with him more and more. God's healing me, because healing is in God and God is in me! So I'm not worried at all. Please keep me in your prayers! And thanks for those of you that have been praying for me; it means a lot.

Love love love!

-jack

Bono at the NAACP

Matthew 25:35-40
"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. Certainly not in typical Coldplay fashion. It looks like something out of "A Tale of Two Cities". They're also releasing the new single, "Violet Hill" tomorrow for free on the website. Behe

Scientists use the term “black box” for a system whose inner workings are unknown. To Charles Darwin and his contemporaries, the living cell was a black box because its fundamental mechanisms were completely obscure. We now know that, far from being formed from a kind of simple, uniform protoplasm (as many nineteenth-century scientists believed), every living cell contains many ultrasophisticated molecular machines.

How can we decide whether Darwinian natural selection can account for the amazing complexity that exists at the molecular level? Darwin himself set the standard when he acknowledged, “If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down.”

Some systems seem very difficult to form by such successive modifications—I call them irreducibly complex. An everyday example of an irreducibly complex system is the humble mousetrap. It consists of (1) a flat wooden platform or base; (2) a metal hammer, which crushes the mouse; (3) a spring with extended ends to power the hammer; (4) a catch that releases the spring; and (5) a metal bar that connects to the catch and holds the hammer back. You can’t catch a mouse with just a platform, then add a spring and catch a few more mice, then add a holding bar and catch a few more. All the pieces have to be in place before you catch any mice.

Irreducibly complex systems appear very unlikely to be produced by numerous, successive, slight modifications of prior systems, because any precursor that was missing a crucial part could not function. Natural selection can only choose among systems that are already working, so the existence in nature of irreducibly complex biological systems poses a powerful challenge to Darwinian theory. We frequently observe such systems in cell organelles, in which the removal of one element would cause the whole system to cease functioning. The flagella of bacteria are a good example. They are outboard motors that bacterial cells can use for self-propulsion. They have a long, whiplike propeller that is rotated by a molecular motor. The propeller is attached to the motor by a universal joint. The motor is held in place by proteins that act as a stator. Other proteins act as bushing material to allow the driveshaft to penetrate the bacterial membrane. Dozens of different kinds of proteins are necessary for a working flagellum. In the absence of almost any of them, the flagellum does not work or cannot even be built by the cell.

Another example of irreducible complexity is the system that allows proteins to reach the appropriate subcellular compartments. In the eukaryotic cell there are a number of places where specialized tasks, such as digestion of nutrients and excretion of wastes, take place. Proteins are synthesized outside these compartments and can reach their proper destinations only with the help of “signal” chemicals that turn other reactions on and off at the appropriate times. This constant, regulated traffic flow in the cell comprises another remarkably complex, irreducible system. All parts must function in synchrony or the system breaks down. Still another example is the exquisitely coordinated mechanism that causes blood to clot.

Biochemistry textbooks and journal articles describe the workings of some of the many living molecular machines within our cells, but they offer very little information about how these systems supposedly evolved by natural selection. Many scientists frankly admit their bewilderment about how they may have originated, but refuse to entertain the obvious hypothesis: that perhaps molecular machines appear to look designed because they really are designed.

I am hopeful that the scientific community will eventually admit the possibility of intelligent design, even if that acceptance is discreet and muted. My reason for optimism is the advance of science itself, which almost every day uncovers new intricacies in nature, fresh reasons for recognizing the design inherent in life and the universe.**

incredible

books...

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_RBQVfD7kXms/SBKS1n1Na1I/AAAAAAAAAEo/RSzCPVooTnw/s320/1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5193374770234485586" />

I am pleased to say that we have a proper library in our house. let us together draw near for judgment."

Doesn't that scripture sound kind of scary at first? What is so negative about the word "judgment"? What pictures come to mind when you think of the "judgment seat of christ"? I know that in my life, those terms have freaked me out at times.

But, let's actually read the definition of the word "judgment". It literally means, to "form a conclusion about something or someone" or "decide a verdict or results of a trial". How, from those definitions, have we formed the conclusion that judgment is so horrible? I mean, just as there are bad results from trials, aren't there good ones too?

We all know that, as humans, we don't exactly have the best judgment abilities, yet we still do it. We form opinions and come to drastic conclusions about people all the time, not even knowing all of the facts. So, really God in His perfect wisdom is the only entity that has the ability to judge correctly! So, why are we so afraid of HIS judgement... shouldn't we welcome it? I mean... it's definitely going to be accurate at least.

I think our reason is pretty obvious. We think we're terrible people. We're so convinced that that's the truth about us. We hide our secrets in the recesses of our hearts. We fail and fail and fail, so we're totally certain of the verdict that God's going to give us. We act as if we know EXACTLY what God would say to us if we were on trial before him. So in essence... we're judging the judge. How on earth do we know what his verdict will be for us?

Oh... you say, but there's the law. Aren't we hopeless when compared to it? None of us can stand up next to it and really meet it's standards. So that's our basis of reasoning.... we say, "I've broken the law that God's given, so I know EXACTLY what his judgement will be of me." But what if we were to find out that God's definition of justice is more about love? What if we found out that he was so desperate for relationship with us, that He did something crazy. He sent his kid to be killed on our behalf, for our redemption.

So, if judgment is basically your opinion of someone and of what they deserve; wouldn't it be safe to say that God thinks pretty highly of us? I mean, if He thought that we deserved the King of all Creation... I will welcome His judgment any day.

Because, I now know that He his judging me through the beauty of relationship, not the drugry of law. And because of that, He's given me this power, called grace, to run after him with such passion that following His commands is a delight.

So my final encouragement is that you stay pure and holy because that's the way God sees you! Not because It's just another thing you HAVE to do. And walk righteous before the Lord because He loves you, not just so you'll escape His hammer of judgment. He's already formed his opinion about you, and it's a good one... we just need to start believing it.

Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."

Huck for President...

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_RBQVfD7kXms/R0RmkUdp2yI/AAAAAAAAADQ/CwC2l4R-NeI/s320/01-5-8000.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5135342249263618850" />

So... as the presidential election slowly approaches it's time to start looking at the candidates. Even though I'm of the firm belief that it's the church's ultimate responsibility to lead the nation to God (and not the President's) it certainly doesn't hurt to have a genuine believer in the White House. The President has so much power, even in a system of checks and balances, they still have the ability to steer our entire nation this way and that. Even "subtle" agendas have drastic affects on generations to come. Once again, even though it's up to the believers of this nation to stand up and bring change, we can't underestimate the power of Godly political leadership. This is a spiritual war that should be fought on many fronts.

Enter Mike Huckabee... an experienced conservative that holds fast to faith & family values. He has a strong plan for Iraq, he's not overlooking our borders, and is forward thinking on the economy and foreign policy.

He's an underdog, but as of late has had considerable press and a recent upswing in the polls. I think he has a good a chance as any to win the Iowa caucus, and beat out the big dollar campaigns.

It's also worth mentioning that he's from Arkansas and has experience running against the Clinton political machine.

I would encourage everyone I know to look into his campaign and think of giving him your suppport.

-jack

I Heart Huckabee Blog
MikeHuckabee.com
Huck's Army

Mick Huckabee... I started reading it, interested to see if it lived up to the hype. I would say that it most certainly does. A book about tradgedy, emptiness, feeling lost, and being overtaken by a revelation of God's love and perfection.

It seems that even late in life we can God can show Himself to us in a way that turns our brain upside down. He's infinite and personal at the same time.

This book is an encouragement to me and will be to many people.

Heroes - Season 2

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_RBQVfD7kXms/RxAqStAX0hI/AAAAAAAAACQ/qFG9B97ohyM/s320/all_header.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120639277127422482" />
All of my favorite super people are back. And Whitney and I are sucked in once again to the unfolding drama. So far, the first few episodes have been amazing. They've introduced some very interesting new characters and complicated the stories of the the ones we know.

If you haven't had the chance, you definitely need to watch it. And yes, there are those who doubted the quality of this show... including my beautiful wife. But luckily I converted her in time to finish the first season, and now we can't miss an episode.

go heroes.

-jacko

ps. i just paid a pound and fourty five pence for radiohead's new record. so mindboggling.

A Good Simple

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_RBQVfD7kXms/RwLXstAX0fI/AAAAAAAAACA/Y-Jb_bh1rAk/s320/reaching.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116889289641677298" />
My life can tend to get a bit complicated and overthought. I was golfing today and that's definitely a sport that tends to work best when you don't overthink. When I'm standing over the ball and thinking about a million different things to do and not do... I'm most certainly going to hit an awful shot. But when I'm at ease, and focus on doing what's natural I play best.

Yes... it's important to look at things you can do better in life, but being consumed by self-betterment can only make the self... not better. That probably wasn't correct grammer, but hopefully you get my point. There has to be a balance between not caring about life, and caring too much. That's a place on the map I'm still trying to find.

Philipians 3:8 - "What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ."

That's a pretty simple view of life if you ask me. I want to lose my desire to be great on the earth, and stop trying to be this super person that conquers all my goals. But my desire is to gain dreams that make me great in heaven, that all my thought would be bent on Jesus... knowing him more, not making my self better. Finding a balance between striving and resting. A good simple.

Currently Listening:

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_RBQVfD7kXms/RwLYQdAX0gI/AAAAAAAAACI/dkUmNXMSfrE/s320/a-fine-frenzy-one-cell-in-the-sea.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116889903822000642" />

My Banner is Clear

A South African minister posted this testimony on his door. Eventually martyred for his faith.

"I am part of the fellowship of the unashamed. I have Holy Spirit power, my die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I'm a disciple of Jesus. I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still.
My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure. I'm finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, worldly talking, cheap giving, and dwarfed goals.
I no longer need pre-eminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity. I don't have to be right, first, tops, recognized, or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, am uplifted by prayer, and labor by power.
My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my Guide is reliable, and my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded, or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the adversary, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I won't give up, shut up, let up, until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, preached up for the cause of Christ.

I am a disciple of Jesus. I must go till He comes, give till I drop, preach till all know, and work till He stops me. And when He comes for His own, He will have no problem recognizing me-my banner will be clear."

the tour

I thought I would give a quick update on big thing that's about to happen in my life. We're going out on tour this fall with Casting Crowns. Even though the last two years of my life has literally been a constant stream of activity. And when I say literally I mean that in the truest form of the word. Be in all of those shows we've never been on a REAL tour. It's been a show here and there and everywhere. Roach, MO... Tokyo, Japan... Edmonton,Canada...Modesto, CA...Gunstock, NH...Edinburgh,Scotland...Phoenix, AZ...Boise, ID...Atlanta, GA...Chiliwack, Canada... pretty random assortment of locations. We've been to our share of cool... and uncool places. But they've all been amazing and totally apart of God's plan for my life.

Any ways, with that said... the consistency of a bus and an actual tour will be a very welcome prospect. Plus Whitney get's to come for all of it... YAY! That would suck otherwise.

So, I'm saying all this to ask for your prayer. We're playing 36 dates, and we are really believing for God to use us in a big way. To see people saved, for freedom to come to the captives and release for the prisoner. And for me and Whitney to have time alone. :-)

And here is a glimpse of what I'm reading:

Mystery of Marriage - Mike Mason

The Four Loves - CS Lewis

Narnia "The Lion, With and the Wardrobe" - CS Lewis

Illuminated - Matt Bronleewe

my first post... from beaver creek

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_RBQVfD7kXms/RvFOEL-6s7I/AAAAAAAAAAM/FcHcR5adHh8/s320/jbarry_Aslan%27s+Great+Journey.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5111952885885350834" />
so... this is my first bloggy. I'm here at Beaver Creek enjoying the company of the new additions to my family. My wife and I are taking a much needed time of rest in the mountains of Colorado. It's stunning here and I'm having a blast between sleeping, not setting an alarm, watching movies, updating myself on Heroes, and reading. Oh... and eating a bit too much pizza and fudge. All in good fun.

Whitney and I sat on a bench down by the creek in the woods and read a bit of Narnia today. This place is pretty magical, so it's the perfect place to read C.S. Lewis. We're currently reading Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe. I had read it before, but in marriage you find yourself wanting to experience things again, but in their company. Whitney and I have been drawn to children's books lately, and I'm of the opinion that there is great value in living like a child every once in a while. It really assists me in my adulthood.

For example, we read the chapter where Aslan willingly gives his life for the crime Edmund committed. I couldn't help but be overwhelmed by the sacrifice of Jesus while reading. We really take the cross for granted, and I don't think we really grasp how huge that was. God is so superior to us. He's the grand architect of the universe, the one that's always existed, a truly perfect being. But having every right not to associate with us, he chose to sit beside us in our mess. We could stop there and still be astounded... but He didn't stop there. He was murdered for the crimes we have committed and the ones we're committing even right now. So, in the woods of Beaver Creek I repented for taking such a thing for granted. Pretty good stuff from a children's book.

So, tomorrow we're leaving and it's back to life on the road. Be praying for me and Whitney (and the rest of the band) as we head out on this Fall tour. It's a big under taking, and we want God to use us tremendously.

Much love.

-jack
